Student Appreciation ReceptionThursday, Feb. 24: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The Student Appreciation Reception is a casual networking gathering for students of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Held at a venue on or near campus, this reception is an opportunity for veterinary students to network with members of the profession. Complimentary food and beverages will be served, and door prizes will be given away to attending students. |

Wings, Tails & Scales Art ShowThursday, Feb. 24: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. This Conference will mark the seventh annual Wings, Tails and Scales Art Show. The show features original works created by artists from across the country. All pieces shown in the exhibit will be available to purchas, and proceeds will benefit the MVC 2011 Charities in Action organization, Wounded Warrior Project. |

Veterinary Exploration ConferenceSaturday, Feb. 26: 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Every year in conjunction with the MVC, the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association hosts a free one-day veterinary exploration program for high school juniors and seniors, and undergraduate college students. |

Issues in the Profession & Business MeetingSaturday, Feb. 26: 7 to 8 a.m. Where is the future of veterinary medicine and veterinary education headed? Join us for a continental breakfast and an insightful look at the NAVMEC report and its recommendations. The opportunity to hear from the AVMA and to discuss other emerging issues will also be on tap. A brief OVMA business meeting will be conducted after this presentation for members who wish to attend. All attending member and non-member veterinarians are welcome to attend. There is no additional cost for this event, but please sign up for this event when registering. |
