MVC Sunday Lunch

Join us on Sunday, Feb. 27, as we welcome Dr. Sam Barringer, who will share first-hand experiences of how veterinarians have been instrumental in winning the hearts and minds of the people of Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.

A 1991 graduate of the University of California–Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Barringer is the director of strategic veterinary operations for Pfizer Animal Health and a nationally recognized expert in population medicine—specifically in feedlots and large calf-raising facilities.

In addition to being a recognized veterinarian, Dr. Barringer also has a distinguished military career: Since Sept. 11, 2001, Lt. Barringer has been deployed in special operations missions to Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan in support of the Global War on Terrorism. He serves as a subject-matter expert to the military in counter- terrorism and prevention of bio- and agro-terrorism.
Dr. Barringer resides in Colorado Springs, Colo., with his wife. He has two sons in college in Texas, two at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and one still in high school.

Please plan on attending this eye-opening event, and hear first-hand how our profession is uniquely trained to be an incredible vehicle for peace and stability in war-torn regions of the world.
